For students who are interested in how to develop drawings into paintings. It is suitable for beginners and for students with some knowledge of drawing.
We start by examining how to observe and thereby to make drawings. Our drawings with have special concentration on tonal values and mark making.
Your drawings will then be created in paint. Learning what tools to use, what colours to use - how they work and interact with one another and how to manipulate paint.
Charcoal, pastels and pencil + Oils, acrylics & emulsion
will be used.
All materials will be supplied.
Students will be encouraged to develop new methods of working and to be adventurous in their approach to drawing and painting.
